Brewhaus studios: Two saxophonists teaching and performing in the Twin Cities
-

Dr. Emily Brewer
Emily is a passionate educator with a K–12 Instrumental Music license in Minnesota and a DMA in saxophone performance. Since moving to Minneapolis in 2018, she has taught Woodwind Methods courses for the University of Minnesota, saxophone lessons to students throughout the Twin Cities, and conducted band for a number of smaller school programs. Please reach out if you’d like to know more about Emily, or would like to study saxophone with her.

Dr. Chris Dickhaus
Chris has worked with saxophonists of all ages and backgrounds. He spent over a decade running a thriving private studio in Texas, where many of his middle and high school students won competitions and went on to major in music. More recently, he expanded his teaching to the university, helping saxophonists earn degrees in Music Education, and Performance. If you're interested in lessons or just want to learn more, feel free to reach out—he’d love to hear from you.
Saxophone offerings
Private Lessons
One-on-one lessons with either Chris or Emily. Here we can focus on fundamental techniques, etudes, extended techniques, and repertoire for upcoming performances (All-State Band auditions, Band Concerts, Jazz Combo performances, etc.).
group lessons
A way to work on basic fundamentals from scales, to vibrato, to altissimo in a group setting; learning from each other throughout the process.
Chamber music
Nothing is more fun than playing music with others. This gives you an opportunity to build a community with fellow saxophonists, learning music together for future performances.
